Benefits of truED for Employers | Champlain College


(click) We see the potential top talent out there in the marketplace drawn to Dealertrack
as an employer of choice partly because of
the truED opportunities
that they have. The ability to go back
to school, keep their minds engaged,
to stay fresh, that’s essential for people
who are engaged and at the top of their game. So we want to offer that
through our recruitment process. We also utilize this as a way
to retain top talent. People are more apt to stay
if they’re in a degree program. So we get maybe the extra year, the extra two years, the extra four years
out of an employee who otherwise has
a great choice of where
they want to work. They choose to stay here largely because of
the truED program. I think the other piece
that I would articulate is that our students — our employees who are students
at Champlain through the truED program , come back into the workplace not only with greater
content knowledge, but they’re better thinkers. We’re asking people to be
more engaged cognitively in terms of the dilemmas
and challenges that we face in the marketplace. Coming out of the truED program, we are seeing our people
reenter the workplace with a new sense of vibrancy and new sense of engagement. And frankly, a crisper
and brighter way of thinking about the dilemmas that we face.
