English Inspirational Poem | My Wage | Jessie B. Rittenhouse | Aim High | Inspirational Poem English

The famous Italian renaissance artist
Michelangelo said.. Most people in life are frustrated not
because they aim too high and then miss. Most people in life are frustrated
because they aim too low; and they hit and they achieve. Where have you set the benchmarks? You know, because most people are just going through life and just settling for what they receive. Their living not by design but by default. They are taking whatever they’re getting. They’re not setting high benchmarks. These verses by Jessie B. Rittenhouse
will inspire you to aim high, to think big.. And to get the most out of
your presence here on this planet earth. This poem is called: “My Wage”
By Jessie B. Rittenhouse I bargained with Life for a penny;
And life would pay no more. However I begged at evening;
When I counted my scanty store. For life is a just employer;
She gives you what you ask. But once you have set the wages;
Why, you must bear the task. I worked for a menial’s hire;
Only to learn, dismayed, That any wage I had asked of Life;
Life would have gladly paid. That any wage I had asked of Life;
Life would have ‘Gladly Paid’. Ask more from your life.
Aim high. Think big. Challenge the status quo.
Push the boundaries of possibility. Fail. Fall. Get up again!
Move. Do something! Get rid of fear.
Get rid of self-doubt. Fight these demons within.
And You Will Emerge Victorious! Ladies and gentlemen! I think it is important for every single
one of us to understand that, ‘we are the miracles.’ It is not the technology that we use. It is the brain, our consciousness, ability to think, our ability to imagine, our ability to come up the new ideas. And that is the unique human gift.
Use it and use it well! And Don’t Settle For Less!
