Entrepreneurship begins with the way
that you think, in the way that you apply your cognitive skills. In many cases to solve a problem, it doesn’t necessarily require a startup, as we see
innovative creative thinking occurring in large corporations as well, and we’ve
designed our curriculum to push students out of the classroom, and we describe it
as a practice-based immersive experience. We want to give our students as many
shots on goal as possible. I really like that it sets you up for anything. You can
apply that to any aspect of your life regardless of your major, what field you
go into. It really teaches you how to think and how to create what you want,
whether that is a startup, or a product or, just the environment you want to be
like, you can apply it to anything. Not every student or every graduate will go
on to start a company, either a commercial company or a social venture.
We find our students finding great jobs at major corporations where they’re
allowed to apply those innovation skills. I didn’t realize how it would change your life. It teaches you who you are and who you want to be and how
you want to get there, and I thought it was just gonna be like another class in
Farmer, so I had no idea how life changing it would be.
