Great video – that part that I could watch. Somewhere around 3:30 the sound gets desynchronized from the video and then sometime later the image goes blurry then sound disappears completely.
Hunter. When you fill the spreadsheet down it will change B2 accordingly. For example the next box down will include B3+0.3B3. Since B3 has increased it will increase as well.
Thank you for all the great videos. I have a few general questions but I did not know where would be appropriate to post. So, here they are and I hope you will reply: (1) Is the background a photographic backdrop as it appears in videos or is it a green screen? (2) do you use additional video lighting beyond the room light? (3) how do you avoid computer monitor reflection on your glasses or the blue/green light of the monitor on the face? A picture of the setup would be wonderful. Thanks.
Good questions: 1) It is a photographic backdrop. 2) I use the room lights. I tried using studio lighting for awhile but I got awful glare on my glasses. 3) I don't sit very close to the screen and I try to look at the camera rather than the screen. The choice of a black background on my Keynotes also help. Hope that helps.
I have heard that comparison (along with John Green and Alton Brown). I consider all of these compliments. I think they do great work. I met Hank when we were at YouTube headquarters and he is wonderful and he is from Montana. Double thumbs up.
With all of these compiments, I found my self asking a question, what are you planning to do in the future on that project? I mean I consider you as good as people like Sal Khan, Bokey (thenewboston) (!!!!It's not an advertising) and maybe some else. All of these Youtube is fine and dandy, yet it is still a site of viral videos… And I saw there you need a help with translation, I'm not a "pro" but I could help in some way, send me a message if you are interested. Wish you luck.
Also, sorry for that, but in the future, can you right 0.3 and not .3 I know it is such (maybe I'm mistaking) americanisems and e.t.c. yet something wrong with that.
I have my AP biology final tomorrow and I watched about 10 of your videos. I would just like to tell you how incredibly helpful your videos are and how much I wish you were my teacher. Everything makes so much more sense! Thank you 🙂 I think I will do better on my final due to your videos
You do great work (my daughters will have just missed it) but somehow euler has been left out of the discussion. When you get a chance you should check out the discussion at better explained …do a web search. Keep it up…perhaps my grand kids will use your stuff.
Thank you so much! I have recently struggled very much in a math class that I unfortunately had to drop out of 🙁 I needed to learn quickly how to do Exponential Growth for my new math class and you taught me in 10 minutes! Thanks, Eric
On excel, you can just double click at the bottom right of the cell with the formula and it will automatically "drag" it down as far as the numbers go, instead of having to manually drag it like you do at 5:48
It also helps a lot if you've taken AP Calculus and are familiar with differential equations. It makes things a lot easier in terms of understanding the notation.
Why does using N(t)=N(1+r)^ t, give you different results than if you used N(t)=Nexp^r*t . My professor gave me the latter, and I tried to apply it to the same problems you were doing at the end, but it gave different results.

is limits only related to calculus?
Hunter Freeman says:
That doesn't make any sense. The formula was B2+0.3*B2. B2 is 10 so 10+0.3*10 should always be the same answer?
Bozeman Science says:
Hunter. When you fill the spreadsheet down it will change B2 accordingly. For example the next box down will include B3+0.3B3. Since B3 has increased it will increase as well.

That is frustrating. It works fine on this end. Please let me know if anyone else is having similar issues.

Oh thanks for clearing it up.
