I’m glad to know that your business is growing. As a new employer, you will have
many new responsibilities. Responsibilities for following lawful
employment practices, for payroll and recordkeeping, for paying
employment taxes and workers’ compensation insurance, for
workplace safety and other things.
Celia is right, there are a handful of things you’ll need to be aware of
and understand. It can all seem overwhelming, but we’re here to
help. This series of quick clips on the site are meant to do just that. We’ve broken the topics into several small segments that you can access as time
and need allow. It’s our goal to make it easy to do
business with L&I. We encourage you to learn more by
attending L&I’s free workshop- “Employer’s Intro to L&I,” offered
in various locations around the state. There’s no more efficient way to learn
what you need to know about your responsibilities.
