Pōti 2014: Does Labour have the recipe to win Māori voters over?

Labour has got two weeks
of campaigning to go and party leader David Cunliffe
says the Maori vote is important. But the question is, does he understand
what Maori voters want, and what does the Labour
policy cupboard have to offer? Political reporter
Irena Smith reports. Feed the hungry, take care of the poor. David Cunliffe says
he has a tasty recipe for voters. But first he needs to capture votes from those who are undecided
and uninterested. The Labour Party has the task
of closing the gap between themselves and National. They will need to keep at it
until the bitter end if they are to have any chance
of getting into office. Irena Smith, Te Karere.
