Theresa May blames Labour SIX times for Brexit crisis – but hides crucial fact

Shameless Theresa May has blamed the Brexit crisis on Labour SIX times – while hiding a crucial fact   In one of her final PMQs , the lame duck Tory leader claimed it was Jeremy Corbyn’s fault that her Brexit deal was defeated in the House of Commons  Mr Corbyn today demanded she “go back to the people” to stop No Deal “crashing” the economy   Yet as Boris Johnson prepares to take power – threatening a No Deal BREXIT on October 31 – she branded Labour’s leader “all mouth and trousers”   She thundered: “I can look workers in the eye! [ Jeremy Corbyn ] can’t do that because he has voted three times for No Deal ”   But she neglected to mention a very awkward fact – that Tory MPs were a huge part of her defeat    Some 118 Conservatives voted against her deal in January, followed by 75 and 34 in later votes  Without their opposition the Brexit deal would have passed and Mrs May would not have been forced to quit  Speaking at PMQs, Jeremy Corbyn said: “Your deal was rejected three times by the House  “When something has been rejected three times, you might think about an alternative method of doing things ”  Mr Corbyn quoted Chancellor Philip Hammond’s warning that No Deal Brexit will hit the public purse by £90bn    Meanwhile NHS trusts say it’d pose a “major risk” to services and Make UK say it’d lead to people “losing their jobs” in manufacturing  Jaguar Land Rover, Ford, Nissan and more warned it would threaten their presence in the UK, he said  Bird’s Eye said it would raise food prices by 20% while the National Farmers’ Union said it’d be “very damaging” to farming, he added  And Vauxhall warned last week the new Astra will only be built at Ellesmere Port depending on the outcome of Brexit  “No Deal threatens to crash the economy,” said Mr Corbyn, who has repeatedly backed motions to block it  “As they trade insults over No Deal it’s thousands of jobs that are at risk the more they ratchet up their rhetoric ”  He added: “This Government is now an irrelevance. The two candidates to succeed her have only got fantasy plans  “Since she and her successors have no answers, doesn’t the Prime Minister accept that the best thing to do would be to go back to the people and let them decide which way we go?”   Yet each time she was presented with No Deal warnings, Mrs May robotically blamed Labour  “We’ll take no lectures from the Labour Party on protecting people’s jobs and living standards,” she said  “The Labour party whipped three times against a deal. The Labour Party whipped three times for no deal  “The threat to those Ellesmere Port jobs is from the Labour Party.”  And she slammed the shadow Cabinet’s John McDonnell, Tom Watson and Emily Thornberry for urging Labour to back Remain in a second referendum  .
